This wine to my taste is very disappointing lacking richness with pronounced austerity. The fruit is of the dried variety and the flavor is herbal and green. Yuck!

This wine offers a harmonious blend of silkiness and spice. Balanced cherry and soft oak notes that transition into a lasting soft pepper finish. Another nicely crafted Pinot from the B family.

Not especially complex, but very pretty and elegant. This might be a one-note wine, but what a beautiful note it is. Incredibly fresh, sappy red fruited flavours tinged with rose petals and other gentle notes, and a spine of fine grained tannin and bright acidity beneath. Wish I had bought more when Martin offered them.

Food: grill
Duration: 2 hours
Condition: perfect
Aroma: nuts, blueberry, rose, dried leaves
Notes: this wine has a rusty feeling to it. This wine has a stronger than expected minerality to it. Although the complexity is present but it seems like the aroma is not as expressive as a 1999 should be. I think this is a decent wine, yet I don't think this is a very sexy wine right now. We can give a few more years to this. Drink 2019+.

Screams willamette valley pinot with a powerful plum/bitter orange nose; concentrated without having sweet fruit or too much extraction; remarkably light on its feet given that concentration. Has a nice iron-tinged finish and some structure to age. Impressive; better than the 2008 was at the same age.

{cork, 13%} Fading garnet. Lovely, aging nose of gently composting leaves, vague red fruits, with a touch of earth and pastrami. Gentle palate which shows off perfectly this blend of new world winemaker (be it from the iconoclastic Yarra Yering vineyard in Victoria) and old world fruit. Fine dusty tannins, medium acidity, medium weight, and a lovely integrity of structure, a balance which happily coats all the palate with flavour and presence. Flavours follow the nose perfectly; it finishes dry and medium-length; it lacks the multi-dimensional-flavoured finish of premier or grand-cru, sure, but gee, it's a great advertisement for up-to-the-minute winemaking and old world fruit. Probably at peak (to judge by colour alone); the decent-looking cork was in fine nick in this instance also.

This wine is developing nicely. All the attributes of 2005 (including its tannins) melding together and softening into a lovely whole. Baked bean nose, hints of vanilla, soft red fruits but still enough stuffing to promise years of pleasure. Meaty, losing some of its sturdiness to be replaced by more typical Pinot elegance.

Clear, pale intensity garnet color.

Fully developed nose with a medium aroma intensity. Aromas of brett, stable, old red berries, overripe red apples, pomegranate, mud and cold coffee.

Dry on the palate with a medium acidity, medium body and medium(-) tannins. The flavor intensity is medium(-) with flavors of dried red berries, mud, brett, dried grass and forest floor. The finish is medium with some tart, red berries and pomegranate.

A bit too old and dried out. This was served as wine number 20 or something so this didn't really get my full attention. Looking at my notes it's obvious that I didn't find this very fun.

Nose is rustic and earthy.
Green herbs, dark fruit, black cherries and blackberries, with a touch of wood and damp soil.
Palate is equally earthy, with raspberries and dark cherries, some green spices and licorice.
Easy drinking & fine Beaune 1:er.

Wonderful nose, complex, clean, cool and intriguing.
Top class Burgundy.
Lovely minerals, red berries, flowers, Chambolle perfume, spices, stones and dust, touch fine wood, and incredible lovely green and herbal notes, almost stems.
Palate is perhaps even finer, super clean and transparent with airy red berries, fat raspberries, darker cherries, tarter cranberries and rhubarb, superb depth and structure with good drive and power, and an incredible length.
Spices and minerals, with the lovely green stem spices for some extra oomph and firmness.
Indeed very lovely and very Musigny in expression.
A superb 1:er Cru, and in an even better place right now than last time I had it, a year and half back.
A killer wine, at a great place and for the price tag just a steal.
Still has loads of years left in it.

First bottle from my six pack.
Spicy fine nose, with some nice green herbs, animal Pinot notes, Vosne spices, cool fruit, raspberries with a touch of smoke, earth and stones.
Palate shows lovely tart red berries, cranberries, lingonberries, sweeter strawberries underneath, fine spices, touch of black pepper, with a clean medium length finish with very fine acidity.
The aftertaste stays for quite some time.
A very good Beaux Monts, in a sweet spot right now, but with stuffing and structure to keep evolving for another at least 5 – 10 years.
Another great 2008 awakened from its slumber and showing just precisely how good the vintage is and will continue to be.
Also, this is a very fine Jadot wine, something that can very a lot from the different wines they make.
Glad I have 5 more to go.
