First bottle of the case. Dark fruit flavors, some spice on the nose and also as a secondary flavor. Second night much more pronounced spice and some cedar notes, Bert good fir sure. Enjoyed with lamb chops on the grill. Looking forward to the next bottle in a year or so.

Decanted about 30 minutes in the glass, then poured from bottle over 90 minutes or so. First sip showed strong dark fruit and Smokey, earthy flavors. Mellowed a bit over the dinner, but still showed great concentration and fruit. Served with rib eye, prepared in cast iron skillet. Last of my two bottles, well worth the price. Probably has another 2-3 years of really good drinking left.

Recanted in glass about 30 minutes. Initial bouquet showed dark fruits and some black cherry, the wife says more on the nose in the beginning. Initial flavors of dark fruit and secondary flavors of coffe/mocha. A bit Smokey as well. Was a great paring with grilled strip steak and fries. Apparently 2911 was a tough year in Napa, but this was a really good wine. One more bottle to drink over next year or so.

Decanted in glass about 39 minutes. Dark fruit and some mild spice on the nose, maybe a bit of earthiness too. Flavor was muted dark fruit and forest floor, a little smoke and wood. Drank over 90 minutes and it mellows even more with shallow fruit but more pronounced smoke and earthiness. Served with roasted rack of lamb and mushroom risotto. An exceptional bottle! 3 more to go over the next 10 years.

Did not decant but poured two glasses which sat for about 90 minutes before tasting. Strong dark fruit on the nose and in initial taste. Fruit slowly faded and secondary flavors of spice, cedar, graphite(?), began to show. After about 3 hours fruit was hard to distinguish, but overall very balanced and nuanced.
Served with braised short ribs.
A great wine, but I think now is the time to drink, not sure how much longer it has.

Served with beef Bourguignon. Decanted about 45 minutes. Dark fruit nose, with some spice and mild earthy notes. Taste was perfect, with dark fruit flavors, a hint of chocolate, maybe even cedar or Forrest floor, and some great light Smokey ness on the back end. I think this wine will go another 5+ years, but it is drinking superbly now.

Decanted in glass for about 30 minutes. Blackberry and plumb on the nose, a bit of spice as well. Flavors of dark fruit, graphite, and a hint of chocolate/coffee on the back end. Did not have with any food. Would be perfect with a nice grilled ribeye! I think this has another 5 years left and looking forward to enjoying again. 8 bottles to go.

Not sure how I feel about this one. Seemed very tight out of the bottle(aerated), but nice lingering flavors. Definitely spice/pepper from the Cab Franc. Didn’t open much over an hour, but I got some hints of chocolate and earthiness eventually. Maybe needs a bit more time. Will try next bottle in a year.

A bit muted at first, seemed to struggle to unwind. Initial nose was tight, but some dark fruit aromas came through. Plumb and dark cherry at first taste, some coffee flavor as well. After about 30 minutes it opened up a bit more, showing some secondary flavors of chocolate and spice.
Overall a good wine, but not a wow. Paired with pan seared rib eye, which definitely enhanced the wine.

Not so great. Maybe a decant would have helped, but didn't get much better in the glass over 20 minutes or so. Some dark fruit flavors and a hint of spice, but none of the light earthiness in most CDPs.

Good sharp sour cherry and some strawberry flavors. Needs some time in the glass to enable some woody flavors to emerge. Paired with a typical Thanksgiving meal and generally was a good fit. The Oregon PN proved to be a better match, though.

Cherry and strawberry on the nose, followed by same flavors in the mouth, plus some nice cedar and spices. A really nice wine that went great with the Thanksgiving meal.
