Bouche sur les mêmes arômes, un peu lâche, manque de peps avec un creux au milieu, reprend de l'énergie ensuite sur une finale plus dense avec un bon retour de fruits exotiques. Pas ma tasse de thé pour être honnête

Wish I had more! Fantastic pairing with delicate lemon butter grilled Chilean sea bass. Plenty of acidity, lemon curd, a hint of peach, and a dash of salinity. Also interesting enhancement to a few ginger snaps for dessert.

The honeysuckle accent riding on top of the fresh, bright, clean, crisp yellow citrus and grapefruit hits the spot. Medium-bodied with good lift and a blast of juicy citrus in the finish, this is in its prime-time drinking window.

Ser mycket yngre ut än vad det är. Hade väntat mig mer fat, det här är relativt elegant. Eftersmaken är lång. Men det är lite kantigt och jag tvivlar på att lagring skulle transformera vinet. För dyrt för vad det levererar.

Massive nose of mango, lemon, bloom rind cheese and lychee. Palate is full with nice tropical fruit, waxy peach undertones and florals. Persistant finish with great acidity. Pop of dried pineapple at rhe end.

Enjoyed with halibut right after opening, pairing was great. Drank as an aperitif over subsequent nights, and still enjoyed the fruit and delicate balance. Seemed like it was in a good place.

Klassisk mark, klassisk stil och ovanligt druvtypiskt. Vit Bordeaux brukar vanligtvis vara svåra att plocka blint (kanske bara är jag?) då de flesta druvspecifika drag brukar hamna någonstans djupt under en matta av fat. Just i detta fall så stämmer det inte. Mycket fat såklart, men också en hel del katturin, citrus och sparris. Fylligt med lite eldigt bett och rejäl intensitet. Påtaglig bitterhet i avslutet och helheten känns lite burdus och ofokuserad.
Lite småtrist, men högkvalitativt utan tvekan

#BYOB - Kändes väldigt ungt och obalanserat. För mig var det dock ingen tvekan om att det var en vit Bdx jag hade i glaset. Medel+ syra fast rejält sur och kartig sådan. Medelfyllig och lite lätt fatbesk. Bra längd och intensitet och med några år i källaren så kanske det finns hopp. Doften har tydliga inslag av SB, men även en jästig druvig ton och lite trä.
Eng: Grapes, elderflowers, wood, young and yeasty. Medium+ acidity, but very sour acidity. Tart tannins and a good intensity. high quality wine, but unbalanced and unsettled. Give time.

Tasted this at the Quartet of Bordeaux Masterclass at The Tower Club.
Wine is 60% Sauvignon Blanc and 40% Sémillion. Colour is pale golden yellow, with creamy vanilla on the nose upon opening. After 15 minutes, notes of mango and grapefruit started to evolve.
On the palate the wine is crispy and highly acidic, with a long mineral finish that contains some bitter notes.

Very consistent with prior vintages – a slightly stinky mineral funk on the nose. Palate is competent but undistinguished. Lacks freshness or liveliness. 87-88.

Union des Grands Crus 2010 Bordeaux Tasting (Palace Hotel - San Francisco): Quite mild on the nose, showing aromas of lemon zest, toasted oak, papaya seed, and orange zest. More charred oak on the palate, along with papaya seed, cantaloupe, and plenty of fresh lemon juice. Medium acidity and a medium length finish. Lots of citrus freshness here on both the nose and palate. Good

Här finns en härlig balans i en komplex vit bordeaux. Fin mix av gräs och fatkaraktär. Passar utmärk till laxfrikadeller och gurktartar.
