Disgorged October 2022. Pours a light yelllow with green highlights. Lots of toastiness on the nose along with Meyer lemon. On the palate, reserved bubbles and very acidic, with a salty marine character. Definitely a close Chablis-like Champagne, which I understand the producers are after.

The wine has bright lemon/like citrus notes with an apricoty character as well. Searing acid and decent sugar from a health dosage for a brut. Slight left over sediment/lee's left from disgorgement it appears. The brioche creamy notes on this wine are certainly present; but tangled nicely with the fresh fruit. Obvious signs of stony minerality as well! Great wine

Enjoyed this with some air, the oak notes were really singing giving this incredible complexity and a noble feel to it, lemon, spice, so complex; broad on the palate, lacking the acid drive and focus but really reminded me of Comtes de Champagne from Taittinger.

One of my favorite recent champagnes. Came across as a BdB but you could tell it was not the typical terroir. A little on the funky side, but in a good way.

Oxidative barrel-fermented style of Chardonnay without much character of autolysis. More reminiscent of a very good crémant than an outstanding champagne.

Big powerful nose, biscuity and toasted with a lemon posset aroma. Quite a full style, creamy texture with red apples and baked biscuity notes surrounding a steely core. Long and very good.

Mature yellow apples, christmas cake, candied peel and brioche on the nose. Dry and pungent mouth feeling. High acidity. A special Champagne, but indeed also serious and good.

Pale color, abundant with tiny bubbles. Early on an uber clean nose of apples and seashells, adding a delicious vanilla component with time. Not that complex but really correct and pure. I'm getting something a bit dirty underneath, not anything faulty though. A tight, dense mousse is fairly persistent. After the mousse has disappeared this is quite vinous with good yet not harsh acidity. Quite restrained, offering stylish apple, citrus, yeast and stone notes. Not really about fruit, this showcases really nice purity and precision and is first and foremost a wine and a Champagne second. A dry, somewhat sour finish leaves one's mouth puckering, in a good way. Stylistically, I would say this is a bit similar to what Pierre Peters does but it does not have such power and structure that PP's wines possess. Pretty good for the price but I'm not blown away or anything.

Modne gule epler, sitron, mynte, brioche. Et hint av "toasted wood". Flott moden frukt, og spenstig, sitronaktig syre. God konsentrasjon og lengde. Ikke veldig nyansert, men skikkelig godt! 90p.

A special bottle with understated elegance; a beautiful light yellow color with subtle fruit and underlying earth all in balance; a lovely bottle with an interesting story if you like small producers with heart

Green apple and brioche dough. Very understated, this one will blow right by you if you're not paying attention. If you do pay attention, expect to be charmed by its clean lines, understated elegance, and bright finish.

Cote des Bar Blanc de Blancs. Light golden color with very small bubbles. Tight nose initially that beautifully opened up over an hour with lemon, yeast, and mineral aromas. Medium-bodied creamy palate with lemon citrus and a chalky minerality. Medium-long finish. The minerality and acidity within provide beautiful structure and elegance. Another excellent Champagne from growers Davy Dosnon and Simon-Charles Lepage.

Beautiful. Light, ethereal and elegant throughout. Pops off with some fresh-cut Apple, fresh fleshy apricot, and green bosc pear.
As it breathes and opens up, moves through butterscotch hard candy notes and then becomes highly floral. Spring flowers like lilac and peony.
Superbly balanced with bright bracing acidity and a nice rich brut-level dosage.
I'm really digging the quality to price ratio on this one!

If BdN was a stand out, this was a let down. Oxidative-marinated nose. Lean and mean, not giving much. A bad grower style.

a really under rated producer in my book
