petrol and kero development, yet clean classy acidity and structure. Deep brilliant yellow (camel pee), talc and dried flowers, dusty. Beautiful development, yet fresh, and clean, and linear. Slatey, sweet calamansi, unctious and clean. Cuts right through the Zion Road Char Kway Teow (spicy + cockles), excellent drinking right now, but alongside the 2000 polish hill, this is certainly more approachable. Spritz, honeysuckle and hint beeswax. What a beautiful wine, drinking excellently right now.

Lovely nose - lime and chalk with the slightest hint of petrol. The palate has a round, almost oily texture - still lots of zingy acidity and a touch of something tropical right at the end. This is in a lovely place. Just what I’d want from Clare Riesling.

Mid gold. Nose: nectarine, lime, petrol notes, some honeysuckle. On the palate, medium body with some acidic zing still showing. Great producer, great wine.

Drunk just below room temperature. Beautifully yellow with a tinge of green, the bottle possessed intense citrus, lime and pineapple aromas. Body was nicely weighted and the acidity kept the whole enterprise racing through to the end. Nice, soft and mineral finish. Will require more time for the tertiary to appear.

Probably needs more time to show real potential. Piercing acidity but without the balance of the off dry, this just hurt a bit. Great complexity and weight is evident when it does appear under the acidity. Will leave for another 3 years

Pale lemon. Medium intensity aromas of white flowers, lime, lemon, kerosene, which develops notably with time. Developing. Dry palate, medium (+) acidity, actually quite soft, medium alcohol and body. Long finish. Flavours similar to the nose, although kerosene less evident and fruit more so. Very good indeed. Has potential to age further although personally I thought this lacked a little acidity and is perhaps drinking as well now as it is likely too.

Riesling Rampage 2017: Bath salts, roses and graphite. There is real cut and composure on the palate with the fruit and acidity well integrated but providing good interest and spark. Very good length. I thought that this was a step in front of the Grosset Polish Hill at the current point.
The first flushes of young have receded to reveal a wine just starting to develop some aged nuances. Wet slate and petrol on the nose, giving over to generous lychee and grilled lemon flavours on the palate. Acidity is very fine and better integrated than the last bottle I had in 2014. Vanilla bean on the finish completes the picture.

Showing a little more kero in this bottle, maybe the age is making this more obvious now. Otherwise I quite liked it, a little fleshier with lemon sorbet flavours and a strong line of acid. Not sure where this will end up with longer cellaring but expect my last bottle will go in the next year.

mixed feelings about this wine. pale, very pale. first thing I noticed was a breath of gun flint. apple and pear fruits are backwards, urethane notes hit intermittently. acids are not overwhelming, rather moderate actually. The after palate coats the mouth with a round glycerine like texture, the flavor lasts on your tongue forever.
So very different, not bad, but hard to pin point on a point scale. My wife hated it, wouldn't even drink it. I find it very precise, all aspects of the wine played well together.
I would say 89-91+ , served cold on a hot summer day like today, was thoroughly enjoyed
Nice example of Aussie riesling. Matched perfectly with Mussels with chilli and ginger. Good structure with nice acid balance that works with quite intense fruit. There's a good length to this wine.

Served very cold. Closed nose, with hints of lime leaf, river stones, and concrete powder. Palate shows sweet fruit and moderate acidity, with flavours of lime cordial and lemongrass. The fruit is slightly cloying, and the finish is aggressively (slightly unpleasantly) dry, bitter, and tannic.

Pretty good this, has a spine of citrus fruit and the acid is pretty well balanced; age is filling out the profile well with the fruit becoming a bit fuller and rounder. Under screw cap so will trundle along nicely from here.

(South-East-Asian-Brunner) Green, floral rose on the nose with lemon limes, white flowers and talcum powder. Brisk acidity, crisp green apples, light flowrals, lemon pith, oily floral finish, long and clean, ending with quartz and zest. Pure, yet generous, pairing nicely with Bo's authentic Hokkien Prawn Mee (with lard!).

Popped & poured. White gold, crystal clear as water in colour. Lively nose of freshly squeezed limes, grapefruit & freshly cut grass. Light upfront and developed medium fruit with time in the glass, mid-sweet citrus, mild acidic tang mid palate leaning towards a dry long finish with tropical notes.
Very enjoyable now, even to go so far as, recommended drinking now ahead of the Polish Hill. Love it!

{screwcap, 12.5%, A$35} To my surprise, I find I tasted this 6 months ago. Similar note now; this is pure and almost watery in a limpid Clare sort of way. Limes and grass, some acid prickle but it's in no way hard, or in fact even that persistent; for all the refreshing quality that this wine possesses in spades, the finish is quite short. That might be due to the subtlety of the flavours; the finish is more of an impression that a taste. Maybe it'll age gloriously, but I'm still a bit doubtful, somehow.
