Oyster white colour with fine bubbles and quite frothy. Delicately floral on the nose. Clean and biscuity on the palate with a smooth, refreshing finish. One of my favourite champagnes.

Monthly wine group at BLVD Kitchen Minnetonka MN. "PNs from Anywhere" theme. Forgot how much I like this Champagne and best bubbly of the night at BLVD Kitchen. I need to grab some of these next time its offered. Well fruited, minerally with excellent concentration and intensity. BRAVO!

Elegant, unaufgeregt, nachhaltig, anhaltend. Ein Vergnügen.

From a magnum; 2014 base. This really punches above its weight. Intense but elegant, great cut to foil the richness. Doughy apple and citrus, mineral. I immediately back-filled several magnums.

Krotida Wine Trip to Priorat & Barcelona; 9/29/2019-10/2/2019: The wine is rather shy in the nose, medium intensity, citrus, nutty, oxidative, quince. The wine is much smoother in the palate, ripe white fruit, nutty, a lot of carbonation but well integrated, ripe green fruit, pear, apple, long finish. Beautiful way to end this trip

36€. 100% Chardonnay. This wine is first aged in magnums and then transferred by hand. 5 million bottles. That’s a lot of work. Normally, I shy away from Blanc de Blancs but I figured I was having a sandwich in the place des Vosges with a glass that I lifted from an unsuspecting bar just off the square. Nutty with a hint of citrus on the nose and quite yeasty and tart on the palate. Delicious. My only gripe? The sparkle fizzes out a bit too soon in the glass. Is that due to the transfer from magnum? Perhaps. But I don’t care. Excellent.

Fragrance of apples and lanolin and a bit of flowers and unripe plums. Strong golden apple flavor with minerality and orange peel on the back palate. Medium fine mousse with a long finish.

Very bright and pretty on the nose with fresh citrus fruits, bread dough and vanilla along with salty, earthy and smoky tones. Fairly lean - though not thin - on the palate with plenty of freshness and finesse. Dry and thoroughly well-balanced with a very chalky feel to it. Sunshine in a bottle, drinks fantastically well.

Tasted after 3+ hours of air in bottle already. Nose still not as open as the "Intense" though. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, yellow gold colour. Legs. Faded bubbles. Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of orange peel, light florals, slight stony minerality. Developing. On the palate, dry, high acidity, meidum- alcohol (12.5%), medium+ going on full body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of orange peel, ripe citrus lemon curd, brioche, stony minerality. Rich and mouth-filling. Very long finish. Very good quality. Serious stuff that will need more bottle ageing to blossom. 100% Chardonnay (Chouilly Grand Cru). Dosage 5g/l. Base vintage 2014.

Almost medium gold color with a vibrant and steady mousse. Light yeast, peanuts, and Play-doh with a small current of citrus that id’s it as BdB. Bright acidity and subtle persistence gives this a promising future and there’s a mouthwatering glycerin-mineral back end that is really nice. Excellent value at $40. 5+12+17+8= 92

High acid, green apple and good mineral presence. Showed some biscuty notes as it warmed. Leaner body with a nice sharpness and crispness to it. Not overly complex and not showing any real signs of maturity at the moment but pretty good QpR on this.

This is a bold powerful mouthful of "take no prisoners" champagne. I really dig this for $40. This made some other very very nice champagnes at the table seem rather timmid. Don't know if I'd call this elegant but it delivers great mineralty, citrus and vibe!

Last bottle of the half case bought in 2010. Light gold, very fine bubbles, classic nose of ripe apples and white bread, elegant end well integrated. Fresh and long but obviously not a completely young wine. A very good Champagne. Outstanding. Drink or hold.

Drank this as a comparison with a bottle of Domi Moreau. Both bottles about the £18/£19 mark, and both excellent champagnes. This has hints of biscuit on the nose, but still some fruit in the taste, and a slightly acidic but sweet finish, with a perfect amount of bubbles on the tongue.
