Three or four hour slow ox. I remember this being pretty good, despite the not so great vintage. It was the 10th bottle at a dinner party (among 8 people), so I failed to take notes on this guy.

Not a wine to recommend! Decanted for 3 hours and left opened another 3 hours. Not good at all. I would not serve this wine to myself, girlfriend or the family.
The color is dark red, almost black. Nose: Stable, mocha, chocolate, light smoke. But all these notes where undermined by a large floral note, that just made the whole beauty go away. Mouth: Plum, blackcherry, graphite and spices. there was a tip of cinnamon. But the taste was completely destroyed by the overwhelming floral nose.

Bordeaux UGC 2013 (Singapore): Again a bit diluted for my taste, easy drinking for sure. Nice to see Henri Lurton making the effort despite (or because?) such a difficult vintage and pouring the wines himself. Chapeau

More interesting on the nose, with its smoky, floral and cherry bouquet than on the medium bodied, soft, bright, red berry palate. Drink this on the young side.

Whoa. For the price point, holy ass. Nose would make you think this is an aged Bordeaux. Danky and cellared. Palate of smooth berry pie, forest mulch. Fabulous.

UGC 2016 (Chicago, IL): Very deep red fruit aromas; this is actually quite perfumed. Sweet fruit, with a palate that actually has some stuffing! A triumph in a difficult vintage.

Tasted @ big Bordeaux tasting in Zurich. Perfumed aromatics of sweet cherries, flowers, some tobacco and some black and red fruits. It's medium-bodied with medium+ acidity and medium + tannin. Medium-good length. One of the better 2013s and very charming.

With floral, earth and cherry notes, this elegantly styled wine has a core of fresh cherries and soft, dusty tannins in the finish that will want to consumed in its first decade of life. From a blend of 84% Cabernet Sauvignon, 14% Merlot and 2% Cabernet Franc, the wine reached 13.1% alcohol with a pH of 3.66. From yields of 22 hectoliters per hectare, the Grand Vin represents 38.9% of the production. 88-90 Pts

IMW Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Hyatt, San Francisco): Aromatic green bell pepper and cherry. Tart as hell. So tart. Lean and austere on the palate. Medium tannins.

Very pure and silky, but there's little impact here and I can't imagine it will justify whatever the release price is.

UGC Bordeaux Tasting - 2013 Vintage (Bentley Reserve, SF): Pyrazine-y notes of well-stewed bell peppers, olive, and salvadorean tamales, with some ripe dark fruit as well. Around 8.5

2013 En Primeur Tasting (Crystal Wines shop, Valley Point): Lifted smoky fruits on the nose along with hints of mineral and floral. Dry and polished, light red fruited with cherries on palate. Good aftertaste and chewy tannins.
