Tasted as part of all Ontario wine tasting of four Chardonnays and four Pinot Noirs. Bright mid yellow with almonds, green apple, lime and pronounced mineral notes. Just a touch of match stick smell. Balanced, intense palate with acidity balancing the sweet fruit and moderately long finish. Drinking well now and no sense of eminent decline.

A nice surprise, and I agree with previous notes - reductive hints, slightly acrid finish, but well rounded mid-palate and limited oak. Not your usual new world chardonnay.

Deep golden colour - I attribute this partly to ageing. Superbly complex and enticing nose with richly exotic aromas of mango, banana and melon. Lean, graceful, searing, truly impressive and serious. Very exciting that you can get wine as thoroughly convincing as this from Canada.

Quite reductive and benefited from a decant, following which it revealed stony fruits and a decent burgundian / kiwi style, with plenty of concentration despite a modest 12.2% alcohol.

Like chewing on a piece of wood. Maybe it was me tonight as such a different experience to the last time but I couldn’t drink it. C did but didn’t enjoy it either.

The nose is quite reductive with a heavy dose of sulfur, but the palate is just gorgeous: stone fruits, citrus and a hint of oak, all with very vibrant acidity on the finish; Could easily be confused with a high quality White Burg and punches well above its weight

Syrah dinner at Formento's (Chicago, IL): Served blind. This has obviously seen a bit of oak, but it has been very judiciously used. High acid and full-bodied with a bit of white peach and pineapple. I picked up a bit of wooliness and called chenin (though in hindsight I think it was more reduction than anything else). The palate is crisp and minerally, with really good acidity that keeps it really fresh. I'd happily drink this again.

There's oak here, to be sure, but I think it's attractive, personally, and melds well with the wine's profile of ripe orchard fruit with ripping acidity. Really vibrant and tangy on the palate, and an interesting comparison to the '12 Piuze Vaulorent (which it defeated in the eyes of many of the dozen or so wine pros at the table).

A Visit to Norman Hardie: The nose on this is certainly quite lean and light, almost reminiscent of chardonnay. The low intensity nose features lemon, mineral, toast, green leaves, and saline. The palate is high acid, with just a touch of richness. The finish is a touch sour and medium minus in length.

Apporté par un ami. Ordinaire et trop beurré, depuis qu`il défrait les manchettes, il ne fait plus partie de nos achats, on passe.

Nice wine. Holding up well. Quite a reductive style. May not change quickly under screwcap.

Splendid chardonnay. Light oak, primary citrus and melon on the palate. Some interesting minerality too.

Nez incroyable très minérale et puissant. Bouche un peu courte mais tout de même superbe. Très beau vin. Surpasse de nombreux Bourgogne au même prix.

Very oaky, but with good balanced acidity. Good fruit and minerality, but spoiled by bitter after taste.
