Blind; I wasn't sure what this was. The nose is very odd, it had a milky quality. I was worried about the flavor but that lactic note didn't show up and it was a nice green apple and explosive finish with lots of ripe lime and lemon. Great.

Served blind. Been a minute since I have had sparkling from the UK. 8 grams of dosage, with 68% Pinot Noir, 31% Chardonnay and a tiny touch of Pinot Meunier. Tangerine for sure, a very distinct imprint of it;. Green apple, stony dry citrus peel finish. An elegant wine that is broad yet still lithe in how it hits the palate. When I revisited the wine again, the Pinot Noir and the structure came through a bit more. I really enjoyed this, a good ringer for Chris to place in the lineup.

Green apples, lemon and a hint of brioche on the nose. Dry. A bit unbalanced acidety - crazy zasty. Light mouthfeel. Aboundant bubbles. Long exit with lemon and grapefruit. Fresh ok+. Close, but no sigar🍾

The first time I’ve had an English sparkling. Nice fruity nose. Palate was lemon, apple, a hint of stoneyness. No/very little autolytic notes. Crisp and refreshing. Not terribly interesting but tasty and good on a summer day. Dry as hell.

Light hay color. Chalky minerals, classic brioche, firm, not acidic. Bubbles too large. With decant drinks like good chablis, layered, with perfect petullance.

PnP, enjoyed over two hours. Pale yellow and plenty of fine bubbles. High toned nose of lemon peel, white stones and chalk, sea breeze, and croissant. Soft, fine perlage on the entry framing high toned, crackling acidity and yellow citrus peel. Chalky minerality and lingering acid support slightly richer pastry/croissant and lemon curd flavors. Finishes med+ but with low intensity flavors of yellow fruit peels and chalky texture. Firmly structured and linear but very enjoyable. Okay qpr at $35. Very good 89.

Drunk as aperitif, then with fish and chips. Lively on opening, plenty of bubbles. Light gold colour. Biscuit and brioche nose. Lemony and citrus palate. For me, a little too acidic than I like, but I think it may soften with a little longer in bottle.

Lemon candy, green apple skins, slatey minerality. On par with champagne 10-20 dollars more expensive, but this really demands salty food if you are not fond of high acid--could have mistaken it for a brut nature.
A great introduction to English sparkling.

At last I gave up and purchased two bottles of sparkling English wine! Lots of citrus, well rounded. Still missing the best champagne after and long taste. Long forward to my second bottle!

This is consistently good and we continue to enjoy it. Lively bubbles, some brioche and lemony. Great balance and acidity not overwhelming. Our friends are regular Champagne drinkers and they thought it was just as good, if not better.

Happy New Year to all of my Vivino friends! ????????
Pale lemon colour. Small and lively bubbles. Medium and developing nose with ripe green apples, ripe lemon, chalk, brioche, bread dough toast and wet stone. Medium taste of ripe green apples, lemon, chalk, bread dough, toast and wet stone. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good and chalky British Bubbles. Needed half an hour in the glass to open. Drink now or over the next couple of years. Goes well as an aperitif, or with shellfish.

Aromas of tart apple, citrus, mineral and toast. Flavors of tangy apple, mineral, star fruit and hint of citrus. Ends with a 20 second finish with tangy apple notes. My first British sparkler and I must say I'm very impressed. Need to find some more of these.

🍇 73% Chardonnay, 25% Pinot Noir and 2% Pinot Meunier. Whole bunch pressed, vinified in stainless steel and aged on lees for 6 years. Dosage 8.5 g/L. . 👀 Golden straw colour. . 👃 Full aromas of rich dark honey, dried apricot with biscuit and sweet pastry. . 👅 This has a wonderful lingering honey flavour cut through with zingy lemon, lime, and a touch of pear all wrapped in biscuit and pastry. The acidity is high but just right and everything ends on a light lemon pith finish.

I thought this was good when tasted about a year ago and this was also good. To me, it's slightly off dry, lively bubbles, good balance of acidity, thus allowing the lemon flavours to come through. This is becoming a favourite.

As soon as it was opened, the bouquet went round the room - yes, it's that strong. Bananas, toffee and sugared popcorn - then strong citrus on the palate, grapefruit - not in an over-acidic way. Yes, it could be more complex, but this is so distinctive and amazing. We're certainly going to explore all their labels.

Another English bubble, but with a blend of 70% Chardonnay 27% Pinot Noir 3% Pinot Meunier. Fairly transparent with fine bubbles. Aromas of toasted brioche and red apples with a tangy touch. Palate a touch too tangy with a slightly sour finish. "Non angli sed angeli" is their motto. Well, we did not ascend to Heaven, but we equally did not descend to Hell...we were relatively and reasonably pleased in purgatory ;-). The English are coming! 88+

The wine is clear and bright with a pale lemon colour and many small bubbles.
The nose is clean and fully developed, showing medium(+) intensity aromas of green fruit (yellow apple), citrus (lemon peel), yeast (rye bread, cereal) and deliberate oxidation (acetaldehyde).
The wine is medium-dry in the mouth with a medium(+) refreshing acidity. It has a medium alcohol and a medium(-) body with a creamy mousse. It has medium(+) intensity flavours of green fruit (yellow apple), citrus (lemon peel), yeast (rye bread, cereal) and deliberate oxidation (acetaldehyde). The finish is medium(+).
It is a very good quality wine. It has a nice balance between sweetness and acidity, the flavour concentration is enough for a very good wine, as well as the finish persistence. However it could be more complex.
Drink now, not intended for ageing. The wine is already fully developed, so there is no point in keeping it.
