Very light color, with sparse bubbles. Nose is rather subdued with straw, a hint of apple. Very light bodied, with some sour pear and apple, perhaps some citrus. Rather bitter finish. Short. In this price range for a prosecco, looking for easy drinking and a good mixer. This is neither of those.

Retail $14. 100% Glera. I do not know for a fact that this is cento percent Glera, but after five minutes of searching, I gave up. You would think there would be more information about one of the largest production Proseccos on the planet, but no. Made by Cavit, the Gallo of Italy, essentially, this is fine for the price. It's kinda fruity, has some acid, but is a bit on the sweet side for a Brut and really does not have a ton of character. But for ten bucks at the corner grocery store? Sure. Why not?
Served @ 8c/46f with brunch of Gordon Ramsey Scrambled Eggs, bacon & asparagus. 11.0% abv, Light Pale yellow in the glass. Citrus nose and taste. sparkling but not particularly crisp. Seemed heavy on the tongue rather than light or refreshing. Slightly bitter unpleasant aftertaste, like grapefruit.
Prosecco lovers may want to look for those carrying the DOCG designation (vs DOC) with more stringent standards.

Clear, pale lemon color with bubbles. Nose of rose pedals and citrus. Dry, light bodied. high acidity, low alcohol, with a short finish. floral, tart green apple, lemon and orange rind. typical, cheap crowd pleaser. im not very pleased with it but acceptable.

Giant Wine Sale & Tasting 4/19/2014 (Cellar on Greene, Columbia, SC): We buy and taste a few of these every year. This is a non vintage offering, and they try to keep a consistent flavor profile. I'm not a big fan this time. I got big pear aroma on the nose, but afterward, things went downhill. There is lots of acid, but not all that much fruit. There is some taste of glycerine, and a few hints of flinty earth. Just a little too simple for me.

The wine looks Blonde colored. It smells like Lemon. It tastes like Oak, Gooseberry, and Grapefruit. The body is Light/Medium. The wine has Bright texture. The wine finishes Medium.

This taste is not what I have remembered with this wine. In a good way, this one was rich, and has a slight touch of sweetness. I think there is some yeast flavors also. Not mouth puckering acidic, this one tastes pretty good. There is an attractive, almost orange skin flavor with some almond or other kind of nut flavor. Lively little bubbles that do their job, then beak down pretty quickly in the mouth. Rich and refreshing.

Straw with golden hints and a steady stream of large bubbles.
Lots of green apple and little else. Some faint sweet yeasty aromas and lychee are noticeable, but very minor.
Crisp and off-dry, with good acidity and a creamy peach meets very ripe green apple and pear. Good, not overbearing effervescence dances around the tongue, revealing hints of orange and papaya. Pear and peach are dominant on the back end, with a longer, tart finish.
Really a nice wine. I appreciate the attractive split bottles. A solid Prosecco for the price, though it is disappointingly simple.

Very crisp and acidic. Still quite tasty and very thirst quenching. Lots of puckery lemon. Almost white in color. Pretty small bubbles that don't last very long. As it passes the palate and the bubbles subside, the underlying wine is uncomplicated. Just a hint of minerality. Goes with almost anything.

Simple mild and light. A pleasant hot-weather refreshment, but not very complex or able to pair will with food. Minimal nose, very light apple, tart taste. OK, but really it's a pass.

Tasted as part of The Capital Grille's "Master Wine Tasting Event." Their tasting note was "This delicately sparkling wine is fragrant with aromas of apple and peach; it offers crisp fruit flavors with a clean finish." It was served at the out set of the meal. We thought it was a light and very drinkable sparkling wine.
