Light golden hue. Aromas of almond, apple, citrus, peach, pear, yeast. Medium body with high acidity. Lengthy finish. Balanced and beautiful expression of Champagne-style sparkler from California. 100% Chardonnay.

A: Medium Gold N: Medium (+) nose of lemon curd, pear, apple, pineapple heart, banana, Meyer lemon, brioche, butter, dried lemon rind P Dry, high acidity, medium alcohol , medium (+) body, medium (+) intensity and long finish C: crisp acidity balances well against the RS and just ripe somewhat tropical fruit. The not complex, the intensity and finish work together to contribute to this very good quality wine. Barrel fermented. This has the structural framework and fruit concentration to age well.

Took this to the St. Regis Yurt to celebrate my lovely wife's 50th birthday and my oldest daughter's 22nd birthday. It paired great with oysters, Iberian ham, salmon tartar, and a carrot and beet salad with goat's cheese. The 8 of us enjoyed this all night, and added a great festive atmosphere to the birthday celebrations. I love this sparkling wine. Never disappoints.

Drank for New Years with the wife. Keeping it domestic this year, tho this is likely my favorite domestic sparkler. On the nose, there's citrus, some pear and green apples. On the palate, there is some light citrus, as well as almond and bread. Not overly acidic, and very pleasant long finish. Always like this BdB.

From a 375 ml. Light, pale gold in color with a fine & steady perlage. Full, fragrant & attractive nose of ripe fruit aromas of green apples, lemons/limes & pears with overtones of floral & yeasty/brioche notes & minerals. Light bodied with a good concentration of well balanced & smooth textured, zesty, ripe fruit flavors of green apples, Meyer lemons & pears with yeasty/bread notes & minerals. Lingering crisp finish. Drinks quite well at present although it has some limited potential for further development with additional aging.

Drank on Easter during the great quarantine of 2020. Dry with a very pleasant acidity. Bready lees aromas on the nose, appearing also on the palate as the wine warms. Predominately apple and lemon notes, with a tiny hint of vanilla and bread.

This didn't perform as well as the last bottle I opened in early September of 2018. It had some of the minerally orchard and grove fruit, baked bread, and ocean spray complexity, but it seemed a little subdued. It was still crisp, vibrant, and refreshing, but lacking the oomph of the last bottle. Perhaps going through a dumb phase? Still an excellent bottle in its own right.

Several Tastings today! (Minneapolis, MN): Another stellar showing of my favorite US Sparkling Wine Producers. Lemon, tropical fruit, chalk, minerals and apple. Good acidity and medium plus finish. This is drinking well now or could age for 5 years.

Green apples and pears dominate the flavors. A touch sweet and a good amount of acidity. Long finish and the flavors of the pears lingers for quite some time.

Celebrating my final test taking of the Italian Wine Scholar. Color is medium gold with gorgeous tiny bubbles. Great intensity coming out of the glass. Aromatics begin with soft doughy, yeast, and biscuit notes. Followed up by some zesty lemon, Granny Smith apples and, Bosc pears. The palate is balanced with bright vibrant acidity, slightly aggressive mousse, and a solid body. The palate brings more of the fruit upfront and the autolytic to the finish. Crisp green apples, underripe mangos, pears, toasted almonds, and bright citrus. Great bubbles for a great celebrations. Cheers!!

after enjoying all previous Schramsbergs and rating them at 92 - this one was a bit too tart; a touch of sour to the taste - it was great at a recent tasting in a store; yet when served with lobster for new year's eve - it was very good - but I missed that special ah!! delight of previous years...maybe my palate is shifting or maybe not....

Green apple and lemon/lime rind. Cool, restrained and crisp. Finish is short and one-note lemon, and missing a bit of depth, but may fill out with some time in the cellar.

Schramsberg's newly released 2015 Blanc de Blancs is filled with mineral-inflected lemon, key lime pie, fresh baked bread, and Star Jasmine aromas. It is tightly coiled but already showing glazed flavors of glossy fruit, strident acidity, sea breeze complexity, and the tannic grip and vigor of a wine that has many years ahead of it. So crisp, vibrant, and refreshing. Outstanding if a bit too young. Can't wait to try it again in a few years.

In the glass, clear, pale white gold. On the nose, muted apple and yeasty notes. On the palate, full-bodied initially, with a hint of fruit, but a quick, clipped finish.

Effects of age & vintage status are very apparent. I would guess at or near peak. Delicious. Recommended
