- Ruby color with medium forming legs. It's balanced and has flavours of raspberry with a medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - Had this wine while watching the 2012 London Olympics and eating cheese and fresh bread as dinner was being prepared. This is a very nice PN with classic nose and flavors. Nice flavors and textures right out of the bottle which improved over the 45 minutes as we consumed the bottle. Slight cooking spice in addition to dark berries, indicative of oak treatment.

- Crimsom color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry and raspberry. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of blackberry and raisin with a light/medium body. Smooth texture with a medium finish - It works as an every day wine. I haven't had a Pinot that really blows my mind, but I will keep looking. The good thing is, I didn't over pay... Well at least by Canadian standards, this 85 pointer was $22.00 Canuc bucks.

Not a bad pinot, but nothing noteworthy. Some fruit with spice notes and lively acidity. Acacia has had several better bottlings, particularly their single vineyard offerings. PJP 2012.

Disappointing the second time around. Nose stayed hot with alcohol over the 4 hour consumption, and by the end, the wine completely fell apart, displaying none of the delightful earthiness I loved from the first bottle I tried. May have to rethink purchasing any more of this.

Agree with most of the tasting notes... this is a nice pinot, but nothing to blow your mind. That said, it is their basic Carneros blend, so it's meant to be more of a value play. Keep in mind this is Carneros fruit, so you're going to get a slightly cooler climate and a more austere/earthy pinot compared the entry level RRV counterparts.

Great QPR Pinot. Difficult to find a decent pinot in this price range. Great for everyday drinking, big lush masculine pinot upon opening then fruit does disappear after an hour or or. Most pinots in this price range are thin, devoid of any fruit and just too acidic. This was "nice for the price" and would have no issue serving this to guests.

nose: I get fortified wine - maybe sherry, a hint of marsala? ANother reviewer listed cherry cola, which I also get. Maybe also a little bit of blackcurrant. Initial impression - a little bit of tart red fruit initially, but balanced by some nice wood and black fruit undertones. This also sounds weird, but I get a tiny bit of popcorn flavor on the initial taste (although not in a bad way). This is not my favorite Pinot, but it is a nice, drinkable wine. Could also maybe use a little time in the glass... I'm not patient enough for that tonight!

Some cherry cola nose, light earthiness, but YEA, no evidence that an overly ripe fruit bomb is in this bottle. Light tannins, moderate depth and length. A pleasant PN that exhibits cool Carneros this vintage.

Medium dusky red. Pleasantly soft in the mouth, but a bit reserved and dry. Easy to drink, somewhat simple in construction, and generally fine but unremarkable. Drying finish. Red fruit generally.

Nose - fruit punchy red fruits Mouth - good red fruit, also fruit punchy but not in a bad way - not much by way of complexity, but nothing objectionable. Hint of cola. Nice easy drinking

Not a good wine. I'll echo James Laube's review in Spectator: "Dry, earthy, herbal and dried currant and berry flavors fail to stand up to the drier leathery flavors. Drink now. Tasted twice, with consistent notes". 2007 was an exceptional vintage in CA for Pinot - what happened at Acacia?

This is a really good Pinot for the price of $25 - $29. Problem is it needs decanting for an hour and would need some cheese, preferably goat or brie, to cut the tannins. Otherwise, the wine doesn't come out as silky. Once you have decanted for an hour and had it with cheese, the nose is somewhat silky, licorice, jammy, and a bit flowerly. The pallette is again kinda heavy jammy, some tobacco, sour-ish. I liked this wine. Wasn't as good as a Russian River Valley Pinot, like Penner Ash, or Napa one like Elyse, but definitely was a good buy. This is also the first Pinot I actually had to decant, which was suprising, but the wine store owner told me to decant for sure.

A solid, drinkable Pinot Noir, but too one dimensional and only a moderately interesting finish. A bit darker than I prefer my Pinot Noirs.
