Drank as the white alongside Shafer hillside select- and it held up really well by comparison. Very french in style, not super oak or overly done like a lot of california chardonnay. Acid and fruit balance well. great structure and depth.

Whites at Brians: Pop and pour. Shared a bottle with 2 people over a couple hours. This wine is drinking well right now. Tropical fruit all over the place - pineapple, mango, melon, a bit of green apple. In addition there's spice, a little earth, and quite a bit of buttery oak. Almost too much oak. Given the price and that this is "just" an appellation wine, this is an impressive effort.

Real Burgundian feel. Excellent depth of flavour, with lemon, melon and peach. Long finish, and transformation to creamy, smoky flavours at the end. This is a good balance between the structure and minerality of Chassagne, and the lush creany hedonism of California

Mpls Wine Club: Spotlight on Arcadian Winery (Tracy's, Mpls): Medium gold color. PNP, drank 1 glass over 30 minutes. Lovely nose with earth, smoke, pineapple, pear, oak. The palate is full and round with good depth and energy, lemon cream pie, pineapple, toast, good acid and a long finish. Well balanced and delicious. Showing very well, this has some time left.

Good golden greenish color in the glass. Nice round and ripe nose but good mineral definition. Great palate with honeysuckle and honeydew. Good entry level chard from Ramey.

Crisp and vibrant with notes of green apple, citrus, 'Nilla Wafers, melon, and a whiff of quince. Touches of spice and florality give way to a persistent, flinty minerality on the lengthy finish. A kick of acidity and the deft use of oak gives the whole package a fresh, juicy mouthfeel. Excellent. 91+

PnP straight out of the fridge. Pale green-yellow in color, fades to a colorless rim. Nose is med intensity, offering up notes of green apple, with a citrus edge of lemon. There is a nice floral component, the nose is quite alluring. On the palate, this wine is med in body, and is totally dry, with med level of acidity that supports the white fruits into the midpalate (again, green apple and some citrus), leading into a nice, lingering finish that has nice acidity and some minerality, making this a quite interesting wine at this price point. Delicious. Should drink well for another 2 years or so.

Much the same as the 12/11 TN -- hasn't lost anything since. Picking up on the salinity that fdub mentioned, and agree that while this might not improve, it's certainly in a fantastic window. Delicious.

Beautiful color green/straw. Not show much sign of age and really in a nice drinking window. A great balance between richness and freshness. Sea salt air and lemon curd on the nose with good rich mouthfeel. Solid acidity. Will likely not see much improvement in the bottle.

Pretty much the same impression as one year ago. A little woody in the middle, but resolves to a long citrus finish. Not cutting edge but enjoyable. Classic CA Chard.

Nose of melon, ginger and honey with a floral scent added, almost like a rose hip. The taste has a bit of fizz with it that adds a complexity to a blend of grass, open meadows, lemon and grapefruit/quince. Overall an excellent Chardonnay that pairs well with food or stands on its own.

At Press 626 in Norfolk, VA for $39 - great on premise price (IMO). Nose of rich nose of buttered popcorn, rich, overripe pit fruit, rich and lush, but not over the top. On the palate, the oak is noticeable, but for a modern CA Chard it isn't over the top and has a good amount of acid to back up the fruit and oak profiles. Not usually in my wheelhouse, but it was a pleasurable drink on the day.

Medium, slightly viscous body. Nose of oak and toffee, followed by flavors of peach, apple, citrus, vanilla, and caramel. The flavors and finish don't have much intensity, but the balance in this wine is incredible. Fresh acidity offsets the richer flavors perfectly, which makes for a delicious -- if not too serious -- drink.

Wonderful, classic California chardonnay. A bit of oak, wonderfully rich and luscious fruit, glycerin and vanilla/caramel. Wonderful in the palette, and a rich after taste. Enjoyed with chicken piccata (lemon, capers) and also a piquant noodle dish with prawns sweet peppers and chilis. Enjoy this wine with rich foods like salmon. A muscular, but loveable wine.

Vanilla, mineral and citrus nose. Green apple, citrus, spice and a touch of creme brulee. Creamy texture and a tart finish. The weight of the fruit leaves little doubt that this is from California. But the minerality and acidity provide perfect balance. This is very well made. A great match for this evening's maple glazed pork chops.

Pale yellow. Subtle nose, floral with a hint of oak. Obviously from California, but not overly buttery, oaky or sweet. Very nice balance, in fact, between butter, etc. and acidity. Nice cleansing finish. Matched very well with lobster tails.

Light, fresh, and gorgeously pure, this offers tart green apple, honeycomb, crispy toast and spring hawthorn on the nose, gaining richness with air to reveal additional yellow apple aromas. Medium to medium+ bodied on the palate with intense yellow apple and floral flavors that remain light and delicate relative to Ramey's single vineyard offerings.

Bouquet of classic Ramey, followed by a palate of quintessential Ramey. Serve this blind to anyone in California, they should pick it out as Ramey. Which is to say, a very well made and nicely balanced CA Chardonnay. Delicious and well worth 25 or 30 bones.

Tasted at room temperature after decanting for 2 hours. The nose had apple and spice, floral notes and citrus, and just a touch of oak at the end. The palate was crisp, with citrus and apple, spice and floral notes, and a little buttered popcorn on the finish.

This wine is extremely interesting, lots going on, the nose starts out with a smell that can only be described as the smell you get from concrete after a spring rain, as the wine opened up inthe glass started getting scents of spice and maybe pear. Mouth feel is very refreshing. On the palate getting lemon with a very nice acidity on the finish, traces of oak, but very subdued which I like, lets the fruit speak.
