A very good friend brought this out to our with strong cheese including truffled Brie and blue Gorgonzola. It was a well preserved bottle of a wine in its noblest of twilights. Dark sappy red with an intense nose of dried fruits, marmalade, coal. A port like palate with impressive focus and concentration and without any hint of turn or sourness. It was the perfect bottle for what we had and one to be remembered and celebrated. The last bottle he had in the cellar.

Pretty floral, red flowers, cherries and red fruits on the nose. Meaty, vibrant red fruit, some black and blue fruits, sweetened cherries, and candy. I would think its a burg blinded

Dumien Serrette Cornas Patou Vertical (Ariana 2, Kilburn, London): Cloudy and a little attenuated there is a marzipan sweetness alongside the slightly stewed red fruits. Palate has a hint of black tea alongside the fruit. Not the best bottle.

Served towards the end of a reasonably long line up with no notes taken but wanted to record thoughts.
Very much alive and giving of pleasure. Tertiary red fruits, some subtle spice and gorgeously resolved tannins.
Two additional and recently sourced bottles left, will post a fuller notes with the next one.
