Let it sit in the bottle for 4 hours. Removed some wine to allow air to hit the wine Soft flavors on the palate. Really light lemon flavors (soft citrus) , soft tart flavors as well. Everything about this wine is soft. Acidity as well. Easy drinking. No where near overly fruity. Maybe I might have given this too much air after reading my previous tasting notes.
Ten min later an the wine is starting to get a bit angrier. More tension. Lil bit of minerality. Acidity is more citrus in style.
30 min later the nose is starting to blossom. It was somewhat mute at first but not anymore. Tropical fruits have emerged on the nose. More fruit flavors on the palate as well. Lil more citrus flavors and tart green apple as well with the fruit flavors. I liked the wine better after it sat in the glass.

Frey's Cat Ranch (Somewhere in the Northern Burbs, MN): Light green gold color. Drank a glass over 45 minutes. Stone fruits, pear, peach, floral, medium bodied, modest oak, a bit flashy yet elegant. I always appreciate the style at Montelena, there's always a finesse and restraint here. This is good now and will be a bit better in another 2 years. 91+ to 92pts.

Sweet stone fruit on the nose Light minerality, not fruit dominant at all. Zesty acidity but not very citric in style or flavor. I prefer the a bit more fruit in my Chardonnay but well done an a long lasting finish.

Complex. Lightly buttery notes but not too much. Yellow apple. Cake notes?

Restrained. Chalky minerality. A whiff of ripe tree fruit.
