Palate: Dry High Acidity Medium Alcohol Delicate Mousse Medium Bodied Long Finish Pronounced Intensity - Baked Apple, Pear, Preserved Lemon, Biscuits, Bread, Pastry, Cheese, Almond, Marzipan, Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Hazelnut, Flint, Chalk, Wet Stones
Quality: Outstanding - Very intense autolytic notes, distinctive notes of baked apple and spices made this wine almost like an unsweetened apple pie. The nose might seems a bit underwhelming but the palate is so powerful, the explosion of yeast and green fruit flavours, together with that mouth watering acidity, complemented one each other, the fruitiness, autolytic notes and minerality, were layered well and distinctively, providing excellent complexity and structure. The finish is so long, lingering with mineral notes, yeastiness, and some smokiness.
Suitability for bottle ageing: Suitable for bottle ageing. This wine is certainly delicious now, might even be at its pinnacle IMO, a great balance between primary, secondary and tertiary flavours, but can it go further ? With such a strong structure, flavour profile and acidity, I don't see why not.

Pronounced nose intensity with notes of toast, lemon, chalk, mineral, lemon, red apple. My third tasting with the last in 2021. From my scores, it seem like 2006 is more ready to drink now.

Rather salty, dominant acidity. Not my favorite premium champagne.

I think people are right in saying the 06 Cristal is really good and now it drinks perfect. Long life in my view but wonderful balance right now
