Blackcurrant, plum and some cedar on the nose. Lean palate with more plum, cedar and toast coming through and building to a long and full finish. Tannins build gently but leave a full mouthfeel. More back-end than up front which makes it an intriguing and lovely wine

Superbly stated cassis fruit coupled with sweet oak in the form of toast and spice. The tannins are firm, the structure in place and shows signs of true elegance and breeding. It’s still scandalously immature but has tremendous promise. All the right ingredients are in place for an exceptional wine to emerge in 10 to 15 years. CHP 94pts

This is elegant and sophisticated cabernet. The aroma profile includes violets, cedar, cigar, and plum. The wine is juicy and flowing on the palate until the rather serious tannins kick in. For folks (like me) accustomed to drinking Bordeaux and Napa, this wine’s moderate weight and high acidity may not be immediately suggestive of a great cabernet sauvignon. I think it more closely resembles a good Loire cabernet franc. I think this wine will improve with age as the tannins soften and the aromas evolve.

The first bottle was quite excellent, but this seemed to be a bit on the sour side, and not clearly a Cab...perhaps a case of bad bottle variance...gave it lots of air, but...
