  • Day 1: Natural cork. Very young. Earth, game, rose petals, raspberries and spice. For sure will need the 3-day treatment. Not sure worth $60 I got this for as so many better. 90 points
Day 2: No surprised it improved. Raspberries, floral, spice, minerals, earth, game, dust and dried rose petals. Medium finish. Overall nice acidity. Should be doing the 4-day on this one. 91+ points
Day 3: So much more open for business it is just silly. Mint, garigue, raspberries, blue currants, pepper, game, dried twigs, exotic spices and rose petals. Medium plus finish and nice acidity. 93+ points
Recommendation: Only reason I opened this is that I could get more at $60 a bottle which did not purchase but my friend will get the same discount in the fall. Good news no one buys higher end wines at this particular shop.

  • Probably too young, but this wine is delicious now. Deep ruby color with an almost black core. INtense nose of sweet blackberries, blueberries, and dark plums with a hint of rasiny tones (a bit "cooked" fruit). Full bodied and smooth attack in the first part, expands on the mid palate where sweet blackberries and plums as accompagnied with fine, but rather dry tannins. The aftetaste includes spicy tones of vanilla, black pepper and provencal herbs in addiiton to the sweet fruit. Long and very concentrated. As always an impressive wine from this estate, but I think this vintage was a bit too marked by warm tones in the fruit (raisins) and somewhat dry tannins. Maybe the tannins will melt over the years, but what about the somewhat "cooked" fruit? That is a tone that usually gets accentuated with time. We'll just have to survive some more years to see.

  • Senteur de tabac et de fruits noir. Aussitôt dans la bouche, nous avons l'impression qu'il sera puissant, mais c'est tout le contraire, très doux avec une longue finale. Encore très jeune mais il sera incroyable dans plus de 5 ans.
