I have had some wines from Pernot that did not impress me very much - too heavy or perhaps just a bit too simple. But this was very nice and surprisingly good really. 90 points - probably 91 if the acidity had been a bit higher

Friday Burgundy Cellar Visits - Paul Pernot and Amiot-Servelle (Cote d'Or): Tasting at the domaine. Bottled July 2021. From 5-6 plots, including a large holding in Enseignères. Rich, ripe and fleshy with sneaky structure. Very good balance and depth for its level, especially impressive this vintage, 89-90 point potential.

Waaay too young…. But then I knew that. Wait another five for remaining bottles.

Clean precise and tightly woven, but not unforgiving at this point. Drink, or hold.

Young, but so gorgeous drinking anyway. With loads of potential on the upside.
