Langton's Bordeaux En Primeur 2022 tasting (Langham Hotel, Kent Street, Sydney): Red berry, black plums, lots of alcohol warmth here, more chocolate than cedar, sweet spice. Juicy, plenty of cherry, coarse flour textured tannins go hand in hand with the surprisingly fleshy and fresh fruits and a bit of alcohol heat. Big but balanced. Okay.

Dark chocolate, licorice, smoke, flowers, cherry blossoms and plums create the aromatic profile here. On the palate, the wine is lush, creamy, sweet, and deep. The fruits are ripe, lifted and long. There is freshness, along with elegance in the silky finish. The wine is produced from 100% Merlot. Drink from 2026-2047. 91-93 Pts.

95 vvPunkte / Röstnoten und reife Pflaumen, darüber Veilchenblüten, schwarze Schokolade, Zimt, Ingwer, sehr würzig und dunkelfruchtig geprägtes Duftbild. Im Gaumen saftig, ungemein knackige Frucht, man möchte gleich schlucken, die Gerbstoffe sind von höchster Güte, die Säure wirkt stimmig. Langer Abgang, endet auf Brombeeren und wiederum würzige Noten. Ausgezeichnet, mit grossen Reserven. 2030-2055+ (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2023 in den Büros von J.P.
