There`s a lot going on here; lots of minerals, steely, herbal notes, big and rich and complex, full bodied, palate pleasing and a long finish; delightful.

Bright deep yellow color with high viscosity. Attractive nose of apple and peach. The nose was notably more developed than the 1989 I had 6 months ago.
In the mouth, the flavors followed the nose and were buttressed nicely by strong acidity and great length. It had an unusual flavor profile for a Cote Dior wine. This came across as a Cotat savignon blanc in style. However, this was an attractive, if not blow away, wine.
This certainly benefited form 2 hours of air and should be strong for at least 5 years if well stored.

Paul Pernot Featured at the Lieu-dit Cru Blind White Burgundy Dinner (L2O - Chicago IL): Single blind in Pernot Batard flight. In contrast to a (dead) bottle of Pernot 1992 BBM from a year ago, this Batard was stunningly good. Age appropriate maturity with great density, great sweet spice. Long and well textured. A WOTN contender for me.
