St. Vincent (Indianapolis): This is a big, broad wine - very round and full bodied on the palate with lots of ripe citrus and stone fruit, gentle minerality, and a creamy and faintly honeyed richness on the palate. There's just enough acidity to keep it from feeling too heavy, though this seems like a wine that needs to be drunk sooner rather than later.

Blind Dinner at Briciola (Chicago, IL): No pox here, thank goodness. This shows a particular ripe yellow fruit character with a little bit of funk that I'd chalk up to 2006 rot. The palate is quite fat, and the oak start poking out once this gets to be a touch warm. Moderate acids. This is a very quiet bottle of chardonnay, in that nothing in particular stands out at all. More importantly, drink up. This is only going to lose the last bits of acid it has, and ain't getting any better.

Blowsy, tropical and short on the finish are the negatives; however it is pleasingly full and dense with a nice Batard character... drink it now, it is pleasing, showing some elegance and won't get any better.

The wine was tight so it showed more mineral and acidity than fruit. Other enjoyed it more than me. either give it more air or more time
