  • pale yellowish straw colour. generous nose of fresh white-flesh fruit, white blossoms, and whiffs of citrus and herbs. in mouth has very smooth texture and is already layered and complex. the mid-tone acidity, good fruit concentration, and chalky minerality play harmoniously with and off each other. unbelievable and intense persistence.

very well balanced Grand-Cru that needs a good handful of years of cellaring. (i did revisit a freshly-opened bottle, which was rather tight). upside potential here.

13.5% AbV; from three plots (two in Puligny, one in Chassagne) with 15-30y.o. vines; it sees around a third new oak for ten months.
