  Impeccably well stored for the last thirty years, and very well stored before that. Of course, the older these wines get, the more storage matters. Fine fill. Drouhin Laroze to me has always represented a pure style of elegant red burgundy - no beef, no earth, and so on. Tortochot also comes to mind in that regard. This wine reflects that view to a T, but it is also very much Chambertin. Big pure red fruit red burgundy with a palate coating intensity. Huge in its way. Great shape when the bottle was opened and great shape when it was emptied two hours later. I'm thinking the best bottle of red burgundy in this style that I have ever had.
