This was my epiphany Beaujolais, all the way back in 2010. I've now had six bottles, and there has been a ton of variation -- this is the first that approaches the heights of the first one. Beautiful, quite dense, silky, ripe red berry fruit, gravelly tannins, juuust enough acidity (unlike the MMIX). Delicious. But while this bottle has held up well, it hasn't really improved in 14 years.

Pnp. Electric crimson. Singing from the get go. A perfect place. Nice tart cherries, clove and other baking spices. A bit of sous bois, foresty underbrush. So glad to have enjoyed this wine’s evolution. I have one bottle left.
Didn't take notes - beegnat's note below looks pretty accurate. This wine has aged beautifully and paired great with shrimp and grits. Last of 9 bottles stored in a cool cellar and purchase in December of 2010. 92++

(Marcel Lapierre Morgon) Very dark red violet color; nice tart plum, red currant nose; tasty, concentrated, ripe currant, tart plum, red berry palate; medium-plus finish (goes surprisingly well with curry)
(Marcel Lapierre Morgon) #1; COLOR-medium/dark; NOSE-crushed fresh berries; sour cranberry; and a little bit of funk; PALATE-this is literally one of the best Beaujolais's that I've ever had; great sour cherry; medium body; I'm completely blown away by the silkiness and structure of this wine; it's like cream throughout the palate; this is crazy floral; a cassis component that I find very attractive and has a delicious factor; I highly recommend; DS-93; GV-92+
