From magnum: Very good Burgundy indeed but not as good as the 2005 consumed last summer. Beautiful nose but young and tannic on the palate. Not as evolved as I had expected. Long fruity finish. Should improve with bottle age.
Such a good wine. It's maturing nicely and is classic beaune pinot, earthy, yet smooth, red fruit and forest floor, silky tannins and medium weight and can see it gaining a point or two in a year or so, still plenty of time left here. Glad I have 6 bottles. 92 points

(Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune 1er Cru Grèves Vigne de L'Enfant Jesus) Light medium cherry red color with pale meniscus; floral, roses, sous bois nose; silky textured, roses, sous bois, tart red fruit, mineral palate; medium-plus finish 92+ points
(Bouchard Père et Fils Beaune Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jésus) A softer and redder nose. A narrow entry but it bursts across the palate with accessible ripe fruit - structure and complexity follow in the next wave. I think it follows the Bèze much more successfully in 2006 than it did in 2005. Super.
