Wineberserkers Eat Duck in Midtown (Peking Duck House (Midtown), NYC): Lightly bricked blood ruby. A little sour and pale on the nose; red apple skin, cherry skins/pits (but not easy to tease out). But then: perfume! The palate is tannic and lean; iron filings; the fruit is losing to the tannic frame, but is still nice nonetheless. Needs food which I didn't have (yet). Good tannic length. Will keep, for sure, but I don't see any upside potential. (from magnum)
