Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port Tasting, Episode #717, 8/10/2009, (See more on Wine Library TV...) 94 points

(Taylor Fladgate Vintage Port) #1; COLOR-medium; NOSE-quite tight; more floral (really nice violets and rosemary) than the standard brandy-esque aspects; PALATE-still VERY young -- the really firm tannins are ripping through my palate on the back-end; just a big wine; tastes like I took a big bite of a big piece of bitter dark chocolate; really focused bottle of port; big and viscous; great viscosity and mouthfeel; I also like the really sour cherry flavor; reminds me of a Russian cherry dessert; this is very good and will age extremely well; look for this to last 40-60 years; has big potential; very well made; it's expensive, but it's spectacular; RP-96; WS-100; GV-94

(Taylor (Fladgate) Porto Vintage) Dark red violet color; lovely, deep, ripe berry, boysenberry and blueberry nose; tasty, great rounded and deep berry palate, young yet but deep and ripe; long finish
