  • Bottle 1183/5997/ Very tight and no sign of Leroy aromatics. Very muted tonight. Some suspicion it is a fake.

  • Drank over 5 hours. Quite closed on the nose (by Leroy standards) the whole time—but definitely opened a bit after 1.5 hours but I expect will be much more expressive in a few years. Dense and pure dark red and black fruit with excellent spice and energy on the palate. This needs to uncoil but when it does, it will be even more incredible.

  • Very deep Leroy floral nose with baking soda and lots of spices. Decanted for an hour then breathed for another, palate is loaded with stuffings yet doesnt feel heavy, the balance is impeccable, still in its infancy and can only get better with time.

  • Very tight upon opening. Poured into a decanter. Nose has coffee beans, stems, red fruit and flowers. Palate is quite deep but I prefer the length of the 08 drc echezeaux on the side. This is still too young. Give it more time. 1-2 point potential.

2007 Reignots : This is like DRC Richebourg on the high slope, fragrant, vibrant, flowery, very good in a making. Beautiful structure, medium-bodied but full of detail. Good finish too. 93/100

2008 Beaux Monts : The nose is focus, dense and compact. Full-bodied, firm and very concentrate, almost Richebourg. Serious structure, very powerful wine with a splendid long lust finish. 97/100

2006 Chambertin : Armand Rousseau is just set into the great position. Very fragrant in a Gevrey-Chambertin style and very good to drink. Firm structure, medium to full bodied, beautiful impact with the very classic Grand Cru. The Big One !!! 95-96/100

2005 Chablis " Clos " : Raveneau is great in this vintage. The nose opens up slowly, very good develop with air breathing. From terroir, mild oak to a very clean, mineral like a water then, after 7 hours, tropical fruits, sweet pineapple.
The structure is super splendid, perfect balance, beautiful texture.
The aftertaste is so nice, polite, linger and very very long in my imagination. Nothing moves, the power without weight. 98-99/100
