Some minor seepage. Old, soft cork. Decanted. Lovely brick red colour towards the rim, initially a very oaky smell, but with time, oxygen coaxed out some delicate fruity aromas. Quince, prunes, anise, strawberries. Lovely soft texture with only some minor tactile puckering from the tannins on the aftertaste. Delicious acidity and length, though it's lacking some fruit. I'm fully aware that this would have been better even 5 years ago, but I'm still enjoying every sip. Probably past it though, in all honesty.

Pretty hard to not gush about this wine. Still has plenty of fruit, while showing secondary flavors too. Good acidity as well. Balanced and complex, everything one could want in an aged Cab. 13.8% abv. On day 3, the little that was left was even better than when first opened.

Mature black cherry Cabernet nose with some minty notes. Tame on the palate, with good balance. Well resolved though still quite vibrant. Not complex or big, but a solid, tasty, mature cab.

Dark, aged, opaque color. Very little aromas, just some oak and aged fruit. Full-bodied, silky texture with pretty dried fruits. Perhaps a bit on the downside, as we've had it before and it was better. Still a great wine with a rib roast, haricot verts, and mashed potato. 9/15
