  Elegant, tobacco in noble wood in the nose. Medium bodied, with much finesse, ripe berries, cedar, chocolate, plum, liquorice. Drink now and over the next 5+ years.

  Very subtle, with elegant cedar and tobacco nose. Medium bodied, with much finesse, ripe berries, cedar, chocolate, plum, liquorice. And still in its earlier part of the drinking window!

  Tired and a bit over the hill. Stored perfectly since release, with a mid-neck fill and good cork, the nose was musty/dusty upon opening. Palate had cassis and plums, albeit with a flat texture. It was pretty good, just not very exciting.

  At its peak now, possibly a bit beyond. I bought this Pavillon at a decent price many years ago, hence I can live with a wine that is - sorry - good, but not excellent, as current market value would imply. A feminie Margaux-style nose, with sweetness mature fruit and caramel. Medium bodied on the palate, with fine cedar, plum, leather and light toast aromas. All good, but again, don't let yourseld fool by the name. Drink now.
