  Pear, apple fruit with mineral and something rich/creamy on the nose. Discernible oak, but subtle. Enters palate with great fruit expression, but drops its weight mid-palate (a CC characteristic for me), creating a sublime elegance. Would have liked a bit more acidity/crispness, but perfectly enjoyable as is as there is a complex, persistent finish.

  Lunch at Come-Into Chiuchow Restaurant with Louis: Wow this was so youthful that there was quite literally no way to have guessed this as 2006 - most thought that this was a 2018 or 19. My first instinct was that this was a CC with the weighty but not overtly rich palate, was actually quite sure but got misled by pesky Louis. So incredibly fresh without much development, the only quibble was that the alcoholic note stuck out which contributed to the abrupt finish.

  Drank out of a mag … really good. Unfortunately I’ve had many that are premoxed so expect bottle variation. Dense wine with big mouthfeel. Got some of that glycerine stuff going on. But the acidity of tropical fruits was very well balanced and makes this a fabulous corton charly.
