  Ex Winebid.
  
  On the nose gravelly leafy pencilly claret. Tobacco, newspaper, bit of black fruit. Fairly stern.
  
  On the palate more generous, dark fruit, leafy/peppery, tobacco, moderate tannin and acidity.
  
  Last glass 6 hours after decanting was the best.

  Very different from 3 yrs ago. Now, very strong and forceful on the palate, seems very alcoholic though supposedly just 13.5. Recorked and retasted on day 2 and day 3--to its credit, very little change, but on the other hand no improvements that made it pleasurable to drink. We finally dumped it.

  Extremely rich, lots of structure here. Big hit of acid, good level of tannins. Probably needs a long decant, was A+ with a rich steak dinner
