Wow just a fantastic showing, slightly dark amber colour with a wonderful array of peaches, mango, poached pear, hint of cumin on the back, palate has poise and balance with the range of tropical fruits hitting throughout the long finish, elegant but present acidity and I could drink wines like this all day!

This is why Prum is the greatest producer on the Mosel, hands down. Just about at peak maturity, the wine combines the brawn and ripeness of the vintage with a an incredible lightness and elegance. This wine was to a large extent all about texture. It somehow managed to juxtapose an unctuousness with an ethereal weightlessness that was remarkable. Nascent notes of tea, caramelized fruits, a streak of acid to maintain freshness. Don't think you could ask for more from a mature Mosel Riesling. Bravo.

The cork was bulging and leaking a bit. But the wine inside was a beautiful golden color and delicious.

Nose had burning rubber, petrol, chrysantheum and custard fruit. Palate was ripe with good acidity. Drinking very well at its peak. Vibrant and fresh.

Rieslingfeier 2017; 2/17/2017-2/18/2017 (NYC): Drank at Rieslingfeier dinner - nice baking apple and peach notes, with petrol and floral. some herbal character.
