Cork, 7.5% alc. AP0509. Very soft cork, wet 2/3 of the way up. Mould on top. Light – medium gold; quite light for its age.
Subdued nose of peach, red apple, chamomile, mint, pear, some diesel and mandarin with extended breathing.
Rather light bodied and delicate for an Auslese, and driven by zippy acidity. The finish is gentle, but surges reasonably long, mineral and slightly oily. Builds significant aromatic presence with airing, including more kerosene.
Opinion: drinking well, though I’m not sure it has the fruit for extended cellaring. Drink over the next 8–10 years.

Vibrant light yellow color. Throws some serious reduction, matchstick and petrol on the nose. Good for you those of us that find that appealing. Green apple and apricot mark a lifted palate that is fresh, spring like. Not as concentrated as expected, the '08 GH shows a lighter touch on the extraction then one might think at this level. Nice mineral streak. Acid is balanced, beginning to fade a tad. Held strong over three -four hours without any decline.

Opened another bottle and kept some for day two... Gained some weight on day two and showed more concentration than I recalled from my last bottle. Will drink well through 2030+. Will sock away the remainder of my bottles.
