- GE/AUT tasting - We had this Auslese after three Spätlese wines from J.J. Prüm. - Gracher Himmelreich is always a little lighter but no less complex than the wines from Wehlener Sonnenuhr. - Greatly made, lots of stony slate flavours, lemon, stone fruit, quince and the sweetness is perfectly balanced with freshness and acidity. - Great potential for the future. - 95p

Pale color; some petrol in the nose but mostly candied fruit; great ripeness with medium body and very good acidity; very refreshing and yet considerably sweet. Long. Delightful crowd pleasing wine for end of meal.

Minerals, slate, almond, lemon-lime and floral notes. There’s also some spice. Really great. Already so much complexity, I can only imagine what age will bring.

During a GE/AUT tasting. An absolute gem, combining richness and freshness. Intense aromas with lemon and stone fruit, bright acidity. Grand 96+.
