Smell of gooseberry and lime. Taste of gooseberry, lime and grapefruit, with the slightly bitter sting. Acid is medium. Good long aftertaste. A very good wine. This wine show that some overseas sauvignon blanc can have a longer life than you might think. Kept in a wine fridge since I bought it years ago.

To echo JVIZ's comment 30 months, on this SB is still drinking nicely. The grassiness has gone and it is now showing notes of vanilla and gooseberry. To be critical, perhaps a little lacking in complexity

First note in >1 year on this bottling. Doubt if anyone's reading it, however, if you're still holding 2011 Cloudy Bays, open with confidence. Bought this in a bin so very unsure of provenance but worth a shot, and it didn't disappoint. Lost some of the grapefruit and grassiness and actually I pick up a hint of vanilla. Still good juice from a perennial producer

I see I'm the first to taste this wine for about 2 years, so I was worried I'd left it too long. The nose is easily identifiable as sauvignon, though the bottle ageing means that there is no longer the nettles and grassiness usually found on younger wines. Rich and full on the palate, still quite long, went well with smoked trout. No difference between the two bottles opened. So we got this just in time.
