G.D. Vajra Winery Visit (G.D. Vajra Winery in Barolo): Generously shared by Isidoro Vaira with us! At that time, this was a blend of Bricco delle Viole and Fosatti. Appearance is clear, pale intensity, garnet colour. Legs. Nose is clean, pronounced intensity, with a lovely bouquet of truffles, mushrooms, cigar, leather. Developed. On the palate, dry, juicy high acidity, 13.5% alcohol, melt-in-your-mouth tannins, medium+ body. Pronounced flavor intensity, with flavours of truffles, mushrooms, tobacco, leather, sour red cherries. Fruit still very much alive. Long finish. Outstanding quality traditional aged Barolo. At its peak now.
