Started rustic and animal but with time in decanter and glass really blossomed and freshened. Good weight and still tannic . Traditional winemaking but coming through strongly at age 22

Cornas tasting @ Jeroboam Club (Bristol): Incredible nose, mature with great depth and complexity. Tell tale violets/lavender and peppery spices. Palate is filled with white pepper, and the remnants of fruit, with very noticeable acidity and still powerful tannic quality. Mr Michel's wines are not for the faint hearted (or impatient). Very enjoyable.

colour mid red , very little maturity but quite transparent for an old fashioned Cornas. Decanted for 1 1/2 hours. Nose at first quite dusty and animal but loosened over time. Leathery Syrah on palte with decent fruit behind. A good wine especially with food. Probably needs a longer decant as the last glass opened up more and some more fruit emerged.

Very deep black red still. Decanted 2 hours. Fresh ripe leather spice earth on nose. Leathery red fruits tannins falling away and wine becoming more supple. Very enjoyable.
