Still some sark red plum and cherry on the nose with hints of barnyard. Color is deep garnet with clear bricking. Acidity now predominating. Some black pepper emerges toward the end along with the fruit. Dry finish. Grilled brats helped calm the acidity. Last bottle and no regrets.

Dull, bricking ruby color. The nose has red plum fruit and an herbal element. The palate is fully resolved yet there is still brightness due to strong acidity. Glad this is my last bottle as I think it is close to gong down the acid monster slope. Today, there is still enough fruit to provide an enjoyable (not memorable) experience. Good but there are much better Cote Rotie’s out there. (87)

Opened by Otis. Despite being older this was fruitier than the 2003 Bonserine CR opened next to it. Opened but not decanted 3 hours before dinner. Paired with smoked bacon wrapped duck breasts. Ruby color with some bricking. Lighter tannins. Notes of ripe berries, raspberries, plum and leather. 90-91 points.

Still some dark red fruit but fading while the acids are predominating.
Some suggestions of earth on palate and finish. Past its prime by a lot.
