Pours a medium gold in the glass. Developoing medium plus aromas of quince, pear, white peach, vanilla, cream, white plum, nutmeg, toast, vanilla, honey, jasmine, apple blossom, and lychee- almost gewurtztraminer in the nose. Mouth follows suit. Noted glycol and alcohol feel- round and warming. Dry wine, low acid, full bodied, high alcohol, pronounced flavor inensity, long finish. Nice wine, needs more of chill than you think it might to tone down that heat. Good Condrieu, but not my favorite at $130 paid, and I think you can get better for less (Perret, Cuilleron come to mind).

Un Repas en Cuisine - GD host (City Club FW - Chef's Table): Tasted single blind - deep gold in the glass, so this looked quite old. Nose and initial palate were all alcohol, and almost sour fruit. I would never have made it to Condrieu here - which maybe is on me - but this bottle seemed off. The person sitting next to me thought so too, as neither of us could get past the heat on this one. Guessed a southern Rhone white, 10-15 years old.

last wine consumed at the auction due to some confusion - but the power and grace of this wine showed through...melon and firm peach notes with a rich mouth feel.

This wine was loaded with peach, apples, pears, some flowers you name it. I should have paid more attention but a lot going on at dinner that evening.

Gorgeous. Medium bodied. Stone fruit with apricot on the body. Floral on the nose. Mouth coating. Long finish.
