The wine looks bricked all the way through when pouring. Beautiful nose with some sous bois but still plenty of fruit, lovely balance, drinking perfectly but not about to fall of a cliff if not for the long haul either

I can't pretend any real experience with mature Burgundy, so I lack reference points but I thought this was gorgeous, light/medium-bodied, translucent, brick-red, moderate intensity and everso slightly medicinal flavours on the palate, light, fine-grained tannins and medium acidity. Probably plateau-ed but very nice indeed.

4/6, good cork.
Pale/medium garnet, wide pale garnet rim. Aromatic pure strawberry fruit, florals (roses), touch of game. Light/medium bodied, elegant, raspberries, strawberries, touch of game, soft tannins, fresh acidity, good length finish. Lovely village Chambolle, drinking well, no particular hurry.

Light to medium body & color, fully mature, easy drinking but not remarkable.

375ml. This bottle was unfortunately ruined by brett. Grey market, perhaps mistreated.
