Still hanging in there. Almost Bordeaux like, earthy, cigar box, beautiful delicate balanced fruit and acidity remains.

Tasting group dinner ('97 Pride Cab, '02 Mitolo GAM, '99 Allegrini Amarone, Caballo Loco No. 7, '00 Tardieu Laurent CDP, '67 Martini Cab & Chambers Muscat) (Monterrey, Mexico): Light ruby with a lot of garnet hues. This is obviously an old wine. I know what it is because I brought it. In the nose, it is full of tertiary aromas of old leather, steel, mushrooms and a hint of caramel. the fruit is surprisingly still there, the finish is sweet and the tannins aren't completely gone yet. I honestly believed this would be undrinkable. Everyone was surprised of its age. they were thinking 15-20 years old.
