Tasted over 2 hrs -nearly semi-translucent med red mild clearing -pretty red fruit and wet stone with some subtle sweet mature elements and a black pepper note -med/med+ acidity, med weight sappy saturated cherry mineral, med/med- tannins -gorgeous Chambolle cherry fruit on the verge of maturity, really lovely if not all that complex

I like it. My favorite wines are generally so much on the red fruit spectrum but I believe Mugnier does such a great job whilst leaning towards purple fruit perceptions. Plus it is Chambolle, anyway. So this wine has very light bodied purple fruit, like tart plum, and tons of minerals in the lime rock, hard and soft, perception range. Its easy-going yet complex, quite perfumed, or maybe like cologne, as it comes across masculine. I also detect dark soil, in this lovely, great drinking Burgundy.

Dinner at The Grill with DJCV: An uncharacteristically solar and weighted Mugnier. Not the ballarina one might expect in leaner vintages. Rustic, but deliciously so. Disagree with other assessments that the wine is past peak or losing fruit. Can age further imo.

Light spice. Lean and lacking a bit in fruit and density. Was hoping for more here given the vintage.
