Community Tasting Notes (2)

  • Tried a bottle of this and really likes it. It had a waxy taste from the semillion with the slight whiff of bees wax which was lovely. The wine has aged very well in my opinion and the sauvignon content is holding up well. At time it smells like burgundy. Lovely complex flavours but not if you like your wines fresh and sharp.

  • A purist’s wine – Semillon, Sauvignon & Muscadelle. Deep lemon/gold, there’s a wonderfully developed nose of beeswax and honey, with a greenish, yet ripe tinge. The palate still presents enough acid to keep things interesting; it’s quite long, reasonably light yet with plenty of flavour too. Interesting wine that’s not near the end of its life yet by any means.
