Lunch Bistro Rex: Five years on from first trying this, it remains pale golden with green tinges. the ripe chardonnay, spicey new-cinnamon oak and citrus zest remains, with a nutty overlay that grew with time in the glass. If opening this great WB soon I would decant for several hours to see it at best. Thankyou David 19.

jaune doré brillante. Nez de tilleul, de pate patissiere et de sésame. Bouche d'un équilibre parfait; onctueux avec une finale acide et saline; grande longueur. Vin a maturité sur un plateau

Dinners around the HDH Auction; 12/13/2018-12/15/2018 (Chicago IL): Enchanting floral beginning. Poached pear and slightly tropical fruit with plenty of sweet spice. Very good density, while surprisingly so accessible for 2010 Montrachet. Already in its peak drinking window.

1976 Avery Red Burgundy Lunch (Cucinetta): We had to try one of these after it topped the Don Cornwall 2010 vintage tasting for the second year in a row (thank you David G!). Golden hue with green tinges and noticable viscosity. Powerfully aromatic nose of ripe chardonnay, spicey new-cinnamon oak and citrus zest. With time, oily orange peel and zest possibly from a touch of (positive) botrytis. Extraordinary concentration, length and the classic oily texture of GC WB. Wow!
