This has evolved quite a bit since I last tasted it and was drinking well almost immediately after opening with subtle bricking throughout. The pretty, fairly delicate, earthy red fruit has exemplary depth and concentration for its level. Quite delicious.

This is a really nice village Vougeot with rich, dark, earthy, tarry red fruit with really good depth for its level. The tannins on the med length finish are still abit firmish, and while this is drinking very well tonight with just an hour or so of air, I think that it's just a baby.

Always enjoy this producer, especially the white wines. This was very good too and was open for business right out of the gate but picked up more after a few hours. Good amount of ripe berry fruit, some underlying oak and wood notes, mineral, average level of acidity. Very solid wine. 90+

Monopole. 50% Whole Cluster. Clos du Prieure is a village appellation. not as herb as the Beaune Clos du Roi 2010. has a drier, more structured appeal on the palate. rather mineral profile, but a very pretty red cherry fruit expressed on the palate.

Knightsbridge Annual Holiday Burgundy/Champagne Tasting and Sale (Northbrook, IL): Tasting, brief note. Big wine with dense red and black berry and some meatiness reminiscent of good Gevrey Villages wine. Lots of acidity and firm character, this will also benefit from another couple of years in the cellar.
