(Vougeraie Vougeot Clos de la Prieuré Rouge) After the 2003 this is aromatically more elegant with pure pinot fruit. Nice and fresh in the mouth with some density, good acidity and a nice minerality. This is also subtley long finishing. A very nice wine indeed.

Nice wine that will not improve further. Mature fruit, some minerality. Not much acidity. Was probably better a year ago. Slowly fading.... 88-89

Gorgeous ruby red. Medium body with a lush hedonistic texture that melts in your mouth. Stoniness and an orchard of tree fruits (plums, pears, and apples) give this wine a magnificent depth and complexity. The finish lingers and incites another sip. Utterly amazing. Feel free to keep these for a while longer.
