  Tasted side by side with the 2012 vintage (now 7yo and still a bit astringent). This 14yo was smooth, well matured, but still very lively and fresh. I was very happy with how this village level wine showed at this age. I think it is at its peak now, but I think it will last an other 5 years (or 10?) easily.

  Pure barnyard and roses on the nose with tertiary aromas - forest, game, wet leather - in the background. Very judcious use of oak, just a slight smoky touch and tannin. Full of juicy red absolutely ripe red fruit, silky medium (-) tannins and a looooong aftertaste. Veal stew is in preparation right now. A gorgeous wine. As they say - drinking such a burgundy is like "making love on silky sheets". Enjoy. Cheers!
