  Bought from K&L for $80.
  Stood upright for 4 months. Used Durand. Cork was in great shape. No taint, but thick, black, cream sediment stuck to the cork butt, as if it had been stored upside down.
  Decanted into hand blown crystal.
  Poured into Bordeaux glass.
  It was welches purple, with a very faint, thin orangish rim. Looked very young. Would never have guessed 26 years.
  
  What an excellent wine.
  It initially had a musty muted nose of blackberry with some funk. Tasted more like a right bank Bordeaux with boucoup minerals, tart cherry, ripe boysenberry, earth notes, green notes.
  
  It took me back to 1993 at this same time of year where I worked on this massive mural, creating a unique project for a figure drawing class at the UofA.
  
  This wine was exceptionally delish. When it peaked at 2 hours it had meat flavors, fantastic earthen tart fruit of cherry and black berry, great balance, long mineral finish, but by 4 hours was flabby and tired.
  
  No need to drink now. It's in a great plateau and should keep for a long time. I would say at least 20 years more.
  
  This vineyard by Turley is a real gem. I will always buy bottles I find from here.

  Violets and graphite dominate the nose, while the mouthfeel is rich with black cherry,licorice, tar, salted meat and Indian spices. This performed fabulously with its glycerin mouthfeel and its abiliity to transform sheer power into elegance. My guess was top tier priorat. The lesson learned is that you have to wait 15 years for Turley PS to reach early peak.
